I filed my initial claim I'm Mn. Because that is where I filed last year. The benefit rate is almost double what it is in Wisconsin and since I worked in both states I was told I could file in either state. It took 4 weeks for Mn. To tell me that I had to file in Wi because the majority of the work I did was in Wi. However, MN also said they would note that I had filed in a timely manner so that I could receive my benefits all the way back to my initial time of layoff. Wisconsin still denied my benefits for those first 4 weeks. I filed an appeal and I'm now waiting for my hearing. Do I have a legitimate case? I did everything I was supposed to do and now I've been screwed out of over $1300! It's my money paid by my employers.....how can they deny bemefits?

If you've followed all the procedures and timelines, you can face the hearing without any worry.

Ensure you've supporting documents and proof ready before the hearing.
