In order to be qualified for claiming the Unemployment Compensation Benefits in the state Nebraska you need to fulfill the minimum financial necessities by earning not less than $2761 in the base period. Base period is calculated as the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters, it is considered prior to claiming the file Compensation. In each of two separate base period calendar quarter months you need to earn at least $800. For instance, if you would like to claim the benefit in the first quarter that is January, February and March then the base period months would be further quarter of the preceding year.
Majority of the employers pay their quarterly unemployment insurance tax and this funded tax amount will not be deducted from any of the employee’s wages. This Unemployment insurance tax amount will be used to pay the compensation to the qualified employees.
