The Unemployment Compensation amount you receive is based upon how much earnings you have used prior to losing your earlier job. In common, you would get approximately half of your average pay and upto the benefit limit. In the state New Mexico, you can expect the unemployment check ranging from $66 to $455 per week.
In major cases you may expect the compensation for a maximum of 26 weeks, but sometimes the federal government provides an extension of this benefit. If you are qualified for unemployment insurance then you may receive your benefit check once in a week.
As the basic requirement you need to be actively willing to work and have been looking and applying for the job every week. As a basic prerequisite you must contact a minimum of two different employers every week. You can also get help finding a new job or training for a new career.
