I have collected UI only one time for a few months, I am now going to be 65 and I collect social security.  I only receive 727.00 a month.  Am I able to get any UI benefits?  I am needing more income, I can't make it on 727.00 a month.  I have enough quarters, I was being denied because I quit my last job.

Unemployment benefits are extended to those who are able to and available to work. You must be able to accept a suitable job that is offered.

Please contact the customer service center of the labor department in your state to ascertain how social security and age will affect unemployment benefits.
