Unemployment Benefits - Moved from NJ to NC

Question

Hello - I have been working from home for a company for the last 4 years and 19 years in the office; overall 23 1/2 years in total.  I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina on October 31, 2011.  On March 28, 2012, I will be layed off from my job.  Can you please let me know if I will be eligible for unemployment benefits from New Jersey or North Carolina; if so how much will the unemployment benefits be?

Apply for benefits in the state you currently live. States are supposed to work with other states where you earned unemployment credits and get you the full benefits. For more details at the state level refer to

In order to be entitled to claim an interstate unemployment compensation in any State:

• It is essential to have worked in the state along with atleast one other state.
• You can also file the unemployment claim in the state you worked though you are not a resident of that state but have worked there.
