What do I do when a new claim is opened without my knowledge for dates I have not worked?

My original claim date recently ended on 7/14, I was currently receiving benefits on a Tier 2 extension on it. I received a notice that a new claim was started on 7/15/2012 even though I did not work during that whole year, and now it seems I'm no longer receiveing my extension benefits, which the most recent one was filed online on 7/29 and the web-cert page shows it being issued 8/2. I am confused as to what is going on as I have been actively maintaining my eligibility for the extension. .

Is it possible you just went to tier 3? There could be a balance from an old claim or wages that were not used that are now available for the New claim. However the difference in the amount paid to you weekly should not be substantial. However, I do not remember how many weeks on tier 3 and a state claim, though lower, might last longer.
