    1. Brenda,

The E.U.C(Emergency Unemployment Compensation) remains expired. There is no extension available. Please inquire further with the labor authorities in your state by calling them.

    1. Please note this is a private forum.

Call the Unemployment Office in your state for further information in this regard.

  1. I have been with same company for almost 34 yrs. they went out business as of 10-31-2015 and 30 people lost there job but they each person a different amount of severance pay I received 7 weeks so the last check will be 12-18-2015 . I don’t know when I should start filling my claim . Can not get anyone to answer my question by phone at your office they don’t answer. Please help me . Could you tell me the closest office I could talk to someone about this . I live in Bessemer Al. And you get approved how long does it take to get a check . So when is the soonest that I could make a claim .

    1. Please consider applying as soon as you receive the last severance pay check in December. Your initial claim may take up to 10 days to process after which it should be a smooth flow.

Filing online is the most recommended channel.
