    1. Ann,

I am not completely sure. If you do not receive a call back within the stipulated time, please keep chasing at regular intervals.

      1. Hi there
I filed a claim on 11-20 and I received a text to complete fact finding info. When I click on the date to view it says page 1 of 4 but I can only view the first page. I’m new to this and I don’t know what I’m doing. Is the fact finding just the info I submitted or do they need something else from me? Thanks ?

        1. Alissa,

We’re not really sure what you see on the page since this is a private forum. Please call the Claims Center for clarification.

  9. I have hired over 20 people for the job they applied for and no one shows up for work. Is this because they are using my company as a reference of a job they applied for but didn’t get hired for? I have never received a call from the unemployment office to see if people on the unemployment list are being hired or not. FRUSTRATING.

    1. I don’t think the Unemployment Office would take up such tasks pro-actively. You may want to call the office for clarification.

  10. I am entitled to a severance package. When do I file for unemployment? Before I collect, while I am collecting or after I have collected the severance. I was “let go” due to my position being out sourced.

        1. Lori,

You can consider applying under the “Alternate Base Period”. Please use the benefits calculator available on this website for more.

If you’re actively employed and still applying for UI benefits, it may be considered “Fraud”. Please call the Claims Center immediately and report the current situation.

    2. I have attempted four times to file online in the last week. As soon as I get to the page regarding my former employer and attach the supporting documents and hit submit, it immediately takes me back to the very beginning to start all over. What can I do? I do not want to lose my chance at filing!

      1. Kathi,

This might be a system glitch. Please clear the browser “cookies” and try again. If the issue persists, use a different browser/call the Claims Center for help.

  19. i recently put in an application to collect unemployment. If I’m not eligible for unemployment benefits what are other options for me because its been a couple of months and no job offer yet and I have bills I need to pay every month.

    1. Suzzane,

I suggest you visit the Unemployment Office website to find out about other forms of benefits. You should also be able to take a course or attend a job fair sponsored by the state.

  20. I work for a major grocery chain. As a part-timer, I was typically scheduled weekly (the schedule was made week to week and varied) around 30-35 hours. Last Sunday, the store I worked at for over 11 years was closed by the company, as they were ‘rebranding’ the division, and my old store did not fit in with the “new concept”. I and all of my fellow employees were transferred to different stores. As a result, last week I was given 5 1/2 hours in my new store. This week, I have been scheduled for 8 hours. I could not survive on the 35 or so I WAS being paid, so I certainly haven’t a chance on 5 1/2 – 8. Can I collect either regular or partial unemployment, as the cut back in hours was due to circumstances beyond my control (the store closing), and it does not look as if I will be getting any more?

    1. Todd,

You can be eligible for partial UI benefits if you were hired for full-time employment and the hours were reduced. Please call the Unemployment Office for more information.

  21. I called you guys this morning around 9 in the morning. And I was told I would get a phone call within 2 hours. 5:36 p.m. is not 2 hours. When I called you back it stated that you were close at 5. So how do I get in touch with you?

    1. Anita,

Please note this is a private forum and we do not have any connection with the Unemployment Office in your state. You can try calling back on the same phone number to reconnect.

  22. I was unemployed before I applied for this job during the Christmas time. They promised me part-time which is between 25 to 28 hours a week. The first week they allowed me to work 40 hours. The second week they dropped it to 32. Week after that they dropped it to 27. Now I’m being told because I reported my manager from stealing my sales that I can be considered part-time from 0 hours to 32. He is now scheduling me one day a week at 6 hours. There is no way in the world I can afford working here. I asked if I was considered holiday employee why wasn’t I not told so. They will not fire you because they don’t want to lose their credit for hiring unemployed people. Is this legal? Can I apply for unemployment again?
