Kentucky Unemployment Office Locations
If you’re a Kentucky resident who has lost your job through no fault of your own, your nearest Kentucky unemployment office can be a tremendous resource for a claimant as you establish eligibility, apply for unemployment benefits, search for work and take advantage of re-employment services. It’s important to have the most accurate and up-to-date contact information and physical addresses for the offices nearest to you. This way, you can quickly and easily access the unemployment resources available to you whenever you need them.
Kentucky Unemployment Office Locations
Your local Kentucky unemployment office offers many helpful resources you can tap into as you apply for Kentucky unemployment benefits and seek new suitable work opportunities. Visiting your nearest unemployment offices lets you connect with customer service associates who can talk through the specifics of your situation and recommend additional resources and possible next steps. Many job seekers find the experience of talking in person with a qualified professional from the Kentucky unemployment office to be encouraging and a catalyst for additional action that moves them closer to re-employment. It doesn’t hurt to have an idea of your UI benefits amount before you connect with an unemployment office – our Kentucky unemployment calculator can help you calculate your payments.
One important point to note is that you must make an appointment to visit with an associate at any Kentucky unemployment office location. Though representatives are eager to help you, they simply cannot accommodate walk-in claimant requests, so make sure to schedule your appointment before you visit.
The state of Kentucky offers an appointment wizard via its website, which makes scheduling an appointment quick and easy.
Some points to note about your appointment:
- Make sure you bring a photo I.D.
- Also bring two forms of acceptable ID documents, such as a bank statement, utility bill, pay stub, etc. A full list of acceptable ID documents can be found on ky.gov.
Kentucky Career Centers
Kentucky career centers offer a deep and wide array of resources that can be useful to you as you prepare to re-enter the workforce. In addition to unemployment services, you’ll find talent development services including career coaching, resume services, networking groups, and job readiness workshops. Many career centers also make available financial assistance for occupational training in industry sectors that are in high demand.
Kentuckians ages 16 to 24 also may access youth talent development services through many Kentucky career centers – these services help young Kentucky residents through initiatives like internships, career readiness events, career exploration, and even college funding. These are effective programs in helping younger members of the workforce learn more about high-demand industries and potentially set a course for professional success. Youth also may access other programming ranging from interview practice and financial literacy to customer service training and workplace professionalism.
Kentucky career centers play an important role in supporting Kentucky’s valued employers – with services such as recruitment and screening, hiring events, job fairs, providing labor market data, skills assessments, and on-the-job training. These essential services help Kentucky businesses meet their workforce needs for today and build a pipeline of qualified candidates for well into the future.

Is something wrong with unemployment system. My check didn’t get direct deposited. My preferred method of payment is direct deposit. I called the number to check on it and it said it was mailed on 8th. Why? Today is the 10th no check in mail?
Andrea,
We’re a private forum and do not have direct links with the Unemployment Office. Please call the Claims Center again for an update on payment status.
I am temporarily laid off due to lack of work. What process do I need to pursue?
I am assuming you should be eligible for partial unemployment benefits.
Please call the Unemployment Office to ascertain eligibility and apply accordingly.
