The Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) tries hard to provide prompt and courteous service. They understand that during peak periods, it may be difficult to get through the TeleClaim Centers.

If you are calling to file a new claim or reopen a claim for unemployment benefits, or need other assistance, please assess the Call Schedule below before calling. Adhering to this schedule you will be provided help in a timely manner.

  1. I’ve been calling DUA for weeks upon weeks, every day during the week, at every conceivable time and I absolutely can not get through to a real person. I’m constantly cut off and hung up on. Can’t even schedule a call beck time! I live on Martha’s Vineyard, there is NO office here and I can not afford to take the ferry off island. I have two problems that can not be resolved online, I need to speak to someone! How on earth to I get in touch with an actual person? This agency is an absolute embarrassment.

  3. When I log in as a UI claimant to read my inbox, there is literally no INBOX anywhere! I have information they are requesting that I send or complete but cant get to my inbox to even know what it is that they want. I cant get a phone number to a person to find out what it is they need from me, nor can I get to a person for this tech issue!
    The automated system to “request a call back” is telling ME to be the one to call back on Wednesday BUT I’m supposed to file every week on MONDAY and cant because of these issues.
    Why does the state of MA literally make it impossible for their citizens to get any help?
    Worst state in the entire country!

  4. I have been calling and calling to talk to anyone about my claim that has been pending forever. How am I to get someone on the phone? I am taking care of a sick family member out of state so I can’t stop by an office. How is someone like myself, that can’t go to an office, suppose to get information. How am I to know if there is an issue when nothing is provided online except “pending”and I cannot talk to a single person. I have worked over 30yrs and when I need assistance so I can pay bills, I am not able to get it.

    • lCall your local state representative. I had to. They moved quickly after that. They owed me almost 2,000 dollars by the time it was settled.

        Thank you for the advice. I reached out to my state rep this morning and received a response within 30 minutes. She has already contacted DUA and I am expecting a call today and my case has been made a priority.

        I reached for myself and of you that are experiencing the same problems. My state rep is appalled by their process.

        Look up who the state representative is for your city or town and send an email sharing your frustrations. Trust me it will get handled.

      • I’ve gone to my local center and I was told that the only thing they can do is send an email asking them to make my claim a priority. Still nothing! I am on 7 weeks PENDING, I have been successfully evicted as of Nov 30th for non payment of rent, which is caused by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I am not able to search for an apartment because I cannot put a deposit on anything. I have a medical disability and cannot pick up my meds. I have not purchased groceries in 7 weeks, also cannot go to job interviews because I can’t pay for gas. Can’t continue to go to the local center, because I do not have funds for the parking meters. And soon enough my internet and phone will be shut off for non payment. Then I will become ineligible for future benefits because I’ll have no way to claim my weekly benefits. Vicious frustrating circle!!

        • I’m so sorry for all you’re going through- it’s awful! I sent in a handwritten letter about the need for the agency to understand we are human beings. No one replied.

          SNAP assistance should help you very quickly to get some food- other than that I’m not sure what options are “out there”. Good luck!

    • I too have been trying to call for the past three weeks and I get stuck in a never ending loop of automated messaging. I never get an agent. What is happening!?

    • I can understand your situation. If you’re not in a position to visit an office, I suggest you work your way through various phone numbers.

  5. I filled out a top application a month ago around my 15th week because it says you have to submit before 20 weeks. I called after 4 weeks and they said my top application was submitted on the on the 30th which would make my 20th week and i would have to wait 4 weeks for a decision. This now puts me at 8 weeks even though it says will take up to 4 weeks. Why would my submit date be a month after i sent it in? Also suppose to start school tomorrow not really sure what to do because if im not receiving unemployment than i cant attend school. Im afraid to start and lose it. What do you suggest?

      UI benefits are offered to claimants who’re able and available for work. If the schooling hampers your prospect of working a full-time job, you might not continue to be eligible.

  7. I’ve been waiting 3 months now and nothing. I have 9 weeks plus the waiting week, and have since returned to work, but really need the money I’m owed. Can’t get anyone on the phone and it is annoying. Can they help us at the career centers that are listed on the UI website, or do you have to go to the main office in downtown Boston?

      It should not take 6 weeks for sure unless they keep you informed about a possible delay. Please reach out to the Unemployment Office for an update.

  9. I no longer have the email address from 25 years ago when I applied years ago. And when I try and put the city I was born in, it says I’m wrong. Need to file a new claim how do I get past this pre-recorded loop

      • Sorry Sam, but your advice about calling the Claims Center for assistance is nonsense. My brother has been trying to do that for two weeks, to no avail. He puts in the 1st 4 letters of the city he was born and the system says it’s wrong. How stupid is that? He can’t get through to ANYONE – claims center or otherwise since he cannot get through this question. Now what?

  10. i am so stressed out i have the same question, applied june27.2019 it’s aug 13 and my case is still pending i’ve been told so many times that they’re 6-8 weeks behind , alas all 8 checks( including 0.00 for the waiting period week are on hold, does anyone know who i can ask for at the teleclaim center to get an adjuster to take my case? i never heard of unemployment adjusters doing one case at a time , seems inefficient at best,

      Only day you can call and have a chance of getting through, depending on your social:
      If the last digit of your Social Security Number is: TeleClaim is:

      Once you enter your social, if it isn’t your day to call the line will just disconnect. Friday anyone call call- and does. So you won’t through that day. You basically have to start on your day the second they open and often times they are already maxed out. Good luck everyone. It’s the most stressful and infuriating system. Don’t forget your deep breathing!

        I don’t think you are understanding our comments here. WE CANNOT GET THROUGH TO ANY OF THE DEPARTMENTS VIA PHONE!!!! EVER!!!
        AT the end of the message stating “all reps are busy, if you would like a call back please enter a time to be called back” every time slot is either :00 or :30. NO SLOTS ARE EVER AVAILABLE then they hang up on you. Maybe the State Rep would be interested in hearing from all of us. Maybe we should start a petition to CHANGE this frustrating process. It’s bad enough that we get put in an unexpected position of losing our job / income, worse when we cannot get help from the people who are supposed to help us.

    • Nope. Never. I keep getting terminated. And it takes forever to get through to even enter your SSN. Absolutely horrible service.

  15. I started my claim a month ago. The company i worked for shut down. I filled out the questionnaire and misunderstood the question “discharged” when i should i have checked off “laid off”. I called and spoke to someone and they said someone needs to review the case. Even the random lady i got on the phone had heard of the company shutdown said there was alot of claims from there i dont understand why she wasnt able to just change it. All my fellow employees have been getting paid and now im stuck waiting months.How long does it take for someone to review my case?

      It’s better if you call the office again to get a sense of the turnaround time. Make sure to chase at regular intervals until a decision is made.

      • Write an online complaint to your States Attorneys office explaining how Unemployment is refusing to pay you and that they will not rectify the problem on your claim. I have made 2 complaints to the Massachusetts States Attorney and it seemed to have helped my claim. Mass. DUA needs to be put on blast for their horrible customer service and their inability to follow through on fixing peoples claims! After being hung up on 5 times by a claims specialist I decided to file a complaint. Good Luck! Stay Safe! ?

  16. Hi I attempted to deposit my check into my finances bank account electronically and they did not accept it. So I need my first check to be reissued and remained or put in my dua debit card.   17. It has been almost six weeks and still no check, I keep being told that an adjuster needs to review? I’ve received this answer for the past three weeks. Claim was openin o 5/6. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I’m going on six weeks – my claim was assigned to an adjuster? two weeks ago – there’s no time limit for how long they can take to review the claim and make a determination. If it takes four weeks for a claim to be assigned to an adjuster, I would think it’s because another claim they’ve made a determination on has closed. This logic would make one think they ‘had time’ to review a new claim and make a determination within a reasonable amount of time. I think 2 weeks should be more than enough time to make a determination! What’s worse than waiting (and having ZERO funds available) is not being able to get any updates on the progress this adjuster is making. Frustrating doesn’t describe strongly enough how I feel!

      I can understand your frustration. Perhaps, you can consider the option of visiting an office in the vicinity.

      • What’s more frustrating than not getting through on ANY day, is without the benefits being paid out, we do not have money for gas, or public transportation to get to a local office! That option is not always available. Why is the call back option not available, and what’s the point of having specified days to call when there are not enough employees to answer the calls? Of course there is gong to be an overabundance of calls, when none of us can get through.

        The hold up of my benefits is a not a mistake of mine. My landlord does not care that there was a data entry error nor that you are experiencing a high volume of calls. Not getting funds that I am entitled to, is causing more severe financial issues. My children and I are going to be evicted if I do not get this resolved. My internet is going to be shut off, because I can’t pay the bill which will then cause a problem of “continuing to request benefits”. UGH!

        Maybe with all of us that do not have a job, nor are getting paid…Someone there would be willing to hire some of us to help alleviate the problems on your end!

  18. I have been trying to get through the unemployment hotline for almost 2 months now, i cannot get to the closest office atm due to me not having ANY funds as they ran out already. I do not have a way to the closest office either atm, and due to everything else going on politically with the shut down this is a very frustrating experience. How is it possible that a person can call before the offices open, and they still state there is Unprecedented call volumes?! I was fired from my job of no fault of my own, the company was setting people up to fire and they ended up falsifying payroll information which may also mess with my taxes. I do not have the funds to pay rent, let alone fight a legal case against my past employer. Atm however, i really need to get unemployment, and this is the 2nd time I’ve tried to get it since 2017 and i keep getting the same automated call about call volumes being exceeded and hung up on. No option to call back, no email to communicate, nothing. So many people are facing this same situation, why is it not being addressed so the public knows when they can use the hotlines again? I really need some help as I’m about to be evicted and i cannot get a answer from anybody.

    Please, if there is anybody who can call me or give me some useful info instead of just going to the office, that would be great. A friend told me he has been going to the Greenfield, Ma office often and its PACKED to the brim, and most people are forced to come back again and again. what is going on?

    • You don’t need “funds for a case to fight your employer.” There is a questionnaire that you fill out explaining the reasons you believe you are eligible for benefits. Then you can also request a hearing to get the benefits as well. Most of these hearings are over the phone. I’m not sure why you think you need “funds” to fight for your right to DUA to pay you. If you go through through the right steps, you will get an adjuster to approve your claim. If you are on here complaining about politics being somehow in loved in the shutting down of governmebt agencies and think that this has anything to do with it, you aren’t going to get a dime.

    • I have been waiting for benefits for over 1 year and I can never get in contact with the unemployment office I call and call and know matter witch number I press I get computer bots that do not help I have my determination from them for 26 weeks but it still has not went through I believe my employer is fighting it cause he fired me but was not my fault he had to let me go because of my record not from any recent charges or court hearing I am entitled them benefits I worked hard for 2 years with no problems I cannot be fired for my past this is b.s and I am going to dig deep into this I am currently jumping from house to house trying to survive I need this money to fix my license so I can go back to work!

  19. I call all the time and says its so busy no one will answer so I CANT EVEN WAIT. I Also can’t setup a call back time BECAUSE ALL OF THE SLOTS ARE FULL??? HOW DOES ANYONE EVER GET A HOLD OF ANYONE?!?!?!?!??!???????

    • It is enfuriating! I started to think they WANT it to be so frustrating and difficult that you’ll just go out and get any job- even ones you’re completely over qualified for, just so you don’t have to keep calling. When I was on trying to get on it 9 weeks went by and I had nothing and heard nothing. I went into my local unemployment office and the woman there told me no one there could give me any info (only the hotline could!) but she was there to help people get onto unemployment online. I did that 9 weeks prior. I did not need that service and it was so incredibly disheartening that I sat there waiting for someone to show me how to use the internet- and had no real option to get information and assistance. People are really down when they lose jobs. I feel the way this system runs has potential to push people over the edge when they already are feeling so low. I feel for all of you who are dealing with this.

      • I also cannot contact anyone because the phones are busy. I can’t schedule a call back because all slots are full. I can’t file online because I forgot my password and have to talk to the unemployment office first. I live in Missouri but worked for a company from Massachusetts the last 5 years and am 1,393 miles from the unemployment office. So how can some of us get some help here other then going in person btw I’ve called 38 times this week, just to waste five minutes of my time to be told that the phones are busy!!!

          I can understand how frustrating it can be to wait on the phone! What you can do is try calling during off-peak hours (like the middle of the week).

  20. I think that my employer may have had the option of opting out of paying SUTA. Asking them is not an option. How do I find out if I am eligible to claim (in MA) given that uncertainty? Thanks.

  21. I would like to know how long it takes for an adjuster to approve my benefits. No one is contesting it and it’s been 8 weeks! I have bills to pay and no one can give me answers. No one can even tell me how long it’s going to take.

    • It took me 9 weeks to get my first one because I chose “on call” because my employer would occasionally call me and ask me to take a shift. I kept waiting thinking it would come through any day. Apparently, if you put in any info they don’t like they just throw your claim in the ignore file. Then you have to call every week day, every hour of the day to talk to a human. Prepare to spend 4 hours on the phone waiting/ calling back. I will admit, once I talked to someone they were helpful and it seemed simple to fix my mistake. But I felt so angry/ lost/ defeated in the meantime.

      As per the department’s website, it should not take more than 4 weeks to make a decision. Please go ahead and chase the adjudicator until you have a concrete update.

      • “Per the website = no more than 4 weeks” (don’t know where that is), but the jerk I spoke to today told me it ‘could be months’, after last week a rep told me once a claim is assigned to an adjuster, it is normally resolved in 24 hours. Calling makes no sense. You either received inconsistent information, or get a jerk who literally laughs at you. I go so frustrated with his arrogance, I hung up. I guess we just sit and wait – haven’t paid utilities or student loans for two months and just used the last of my savings to pay my mortgage. Not feeling great with $12 in the bank, no food in the fridge and putting my next month’s mortgage at risk. Once claims are assigned to an adjuster, they should be held to a deadline to make a determination!!

        • Call the governor’s constituents line and file a complaint. Be nice and apologetic for how you’re bothering them but you think there may be an issue with the system. I did this after 13 weeks waiting and within a few hours my call was returned and a week later the back pay was in the mail. Also, follow up with the same call to the online complaint form.

  23. I answered a question wrong when reopening my claim. Been calling with no results. Continuous hang ups. I’m back to work so limited time to spend calling and calling. Is there an email address

    • I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone for a week and half now, including trying to schedule a call back time, and nothing. It is BEYOND FRUSTRATING!! You can’t even send an email. It’s an issue I actually need to TALK to someone about!! Trying to receive payment since the week of 12/24. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

    • Everytime I call the unemployment line it eventually gets to a point itnit just just hangs up cuz of heavy call volume but gives no option to stay on line or get a call back? I have a hold on my account and I believe I know why as i clicked the wrong answer on my questionnaire by accident when asked if worked full time. I been at same job for 3 years now so this is 3rd winter I have gotten laid off and I checked no by accident when I indeed work full time as I even wrote it in 38 hours a week worked to a previous question. I have a hold now due to earnings and I believe this is why and I can’t get through to anyone to ask about it. Never had issue previous 2 years and it’s sane exact circumstances this winter and can see that on my each or my previous years claims. How do I get a hold of them to talk about this? Phone just disconnects you on teleclaim service after they say to busy after get so far, why can’t I leave a number to call me back at? I have been cleared for my monetery determination and it says I’m eligible so I don’t see the problem here.

    If I was employed in Massachusetts by a Massachusetts company who recorded my wages in DC, can I still get unemployment benefits from MA?

      Please apply from the state where the wages were recorded. Most likely, your employer would have remitted Unemployment Taxes into DC and that is where you should be claiming from.

    I was wondering if you knew exactly how long it takes to hear back from an unemployment hearing? Week 6 will end as of 5 pm today (COB). I filed for unemployment on July 5th, it took 3 weeks to receive notice my former employer was contesting my benefits. I applied for a hearing, which took another 3 weeks to schedule the first date, which both parties attended. It was a very long and drawn out process which ended up going to 2 hearings – once for the employer to present their side the 2nd date was for me to present my side (which took ANOTHER 3 weeks to schedule). So, I waited 3 weeks to hear about my employer contesting, another 3 weeks to schedule the first hearing and then ANOTHER 3 weeks to schedule my part of the hearing – 9 weeks just to get to where I am now – 6 weeks from the last hearing date and am still waiting to hear the results. During this time, I have lost EVERYTHING.

    I know the waiting period can be from 2 – 4 weeks. What I just really need to know is does the 4-week wait period include weekends and holidays? There have been some holidays and there was a day when the Mass Unemployment phone and website were out of commission. Do those days also count toward the 4-week wait period?

    I know I should but I am petrified to call because I don’t want to risk making anyone mad – especially if they are as overwhelmed as they say they are – and I am sure they are. I know that sounds crazy but if you knew all that I have lost during the waiting period and the stress I have been under – that doesn’t sound as crazy at it reads, lol.

    So, to sum up; Does the 2 – 4 week (7 days) wait period include weekends, holidays and other unforeseen interruptions or is it 2 – 4 weeks (5 days) based on a 5 day work week?

    I apologize for the long drawn out explanation to finally, the question, lol. I do want to thank you for your time and assistance with my question and other questions you have answered on the site.

      Thank you for taking the time to write to us. Firstly, the turnaround time of the adjudication process will be provided on the website of the Unemployment Office in your state. Secondly, in most cases (from the feedback this forum) the timelines are not followed. My suggestion would be that you chase the Unemployment Office at regular intervals for an update on the status in a subtle manner.

  26. If someone can help me I know I will appreciate it…
    I filed for UI at the beginning of November and it was approved. My wait week went through and I received my first payment through mail. I filed the next week and it says that it is ‘on hold’. I am not sure of the reasons. And I am not sure what to do. I keep trying to schedule a call but the schedule is always full. Can someone help me out with this ?

  27. I received a message from the department of unemployment that I owe them money for overpayment of money. I received 16 emails from Unemployment within 2 days. I consider myself a highly intelligent person and I am unable to figure out why I received all of these emails. I truly do not know what I am supposed to do at this point. I have called about 20 times and I can’t get a straight answer from anybody…….. if UI can’t explain why I’ve been inindated with these emails……then I’m not sure what is expected from me. This has been the most frustrating experiences of my life!

      I suggest you respond to the email immediately and let them know about your stance. This way, you have written documentation of your statement.

  30. I just received a message from MA UI saying that I owe THEM money because they overpaid my unemployment benefits – to the tune of over 3K. I stopped receiving benefits about a year ago after finding a job. I’ve tried contacting them using the “call back” feature, but the call goes directly to my phone messages – my phone never rings! The message doesn’t allow me to use the keypad features to connect to anyone. What should I do?

  31. Is there a number for the adjusters office? My claim was filed 9 weeks ago, I spoke with someone 2 weeks ago at teleclaims who said an adjuster would look into it. Last week I received the same statement, yesterday I went down to the office and an adjuster hadn’t even been assigned to my claim. They said they would expedite it to a manager. I called this morning, and they told me the same thing as people the last two weeks. Non-payment will severely impede my work search results.

        Please note this is a private forum. If you have a solid grievance and feel the Unemployment Office is not functioning as per expectations, you should raise it with appropriate authorities.

        • I want to provide an update. I waited over 5 months to get a response, every time I called they would tell me that it was being assigned to an adjuster, however, months later still not approved and status is paid but pending. I have reached out to the Governor’s Office and spoke with an aide there who is going to contact the office and find out why there has been such a long time and why there is a hold up? I have been told numerous times that a manager has looked over my case and it has been assigned to an adjuster and they are unable to provide me with a time line but it should be good within a few more days, just continue to call and claim weekly benefits and check my email to see if I have a response or not and then if they deny it I can appeal. It is so frustrating to deal with this for all this time. I am hopeful that by me climbing up chain of command I do not anger the people who are going to approve or deny me.

  32. I am trying to apply for UI on line. When asked for my email address I enter it followed by When I select submit I get an error message that says “emails from are not valid”. Obviously cannot get an actual person on the phone to help. My email address is entered correctly. This has been my email address for years. What is the problem using

    • I am experiencing this same issue. Says, ” error message says, my email address not valid”. I then entered an alternative hotmail email address and still receive message saying not valid. Any suggestions, would be much appreciated. Thank you.

      That is strange! I do not have any insights into this issue. Perhaps, this is a technical glitch. Please see if you can visit an office in the vicinity for more info and also consider using an alternate email id if none of the options work.

  33. I filed April 8, 2018 – I am still waiting for an adjuster to be assigned to my claim. Can anyone tell me how long is took for this? I keep calling but they are telling me it is in the cue but can’t tell me when someone will contact me or where I am on the list.

  34. Why does it take so long for an adjuster to look at your case? It has been 3 months now and no adjuster has looked at my case yet in Mass. Why does it take so long for them to look over cases? I’ve heard this prior and now I’m experiencing it.

      I can understand the reason for your frustration. Please chase the adjustor at regular intervals for an update. It shouldn’t have taken so long. If need be, consider escalating.

  35. I’ve been waiting 12 weeks to receive a check. How can I actually speak to a human instead of a recording. I get nothing but the runaround when trying to figure out what the issue is. I’ve done everything needed on my end. Why am I still waiting to get my checks?

  36. I opened my claim which is the hold week, I get it, the next week is also on hold and today I claimed another week, so I am now owed 2 checks. I printed the earnings report and mailed in to DUA and it’s telling me that the employer needs to fill out certain information, but my employer is OUT OF BUSINESS, what the hell do I do.

  37. How does the state expect you to actively seek work if you have no means to do so when they don’t pay you for weeeeeeeks! 10 weeks to be exact. Where exactly do they think you can come up with the money to pay your phone bill, put gas in your tank not to mention take care of your young children and cover day care costs in order to actually be employed. The system is a joke – on us

  39. I reopened my claim in Oct. 2016. My online account says I have no wages which I do.I mailed in my pay stub 5 weeks ago and last week I mailed to unemployment certified mail with signature confirmation with the unemployment wages again and was received and my account is still shows 0 wages. I was told from my employer that DUA had already received my wages from my office on Nov. 4, 2016 .I call frequently for 6 weeks not and being on the phone listening to recordings for 10 min every time then they hang up and say there to busy to take calls. This is been ongoing since early October. I cannot reach anyone.I don’t understand why my wages that you already on file and I have your copy of wages that were supplied to you on Nov.4 and why my account is not updated. Please, please can I have someones direct number?This is ridiculous for something so simple to resolve.Ty

I filed my claim 10 weeks ago aND have not received any money or a determination, everytime I call on my numbers day they just say they can’t get to my call and hang up I have no idea what is going on but I have a small child I can’t go much longer with no funds anyone haver any ideas what worked for them?

      I can understand your frustration. All I can ask you to do is keep chasing, especially during the off-peak hours. You may also consider the option of visiting the nearest Office for an update.

      • This is the same issue I have. I applied and 2 days later received a monetary determination stating I made 0 income. I filled out a monetary correction form along with pay stubs and a W2. It’s been a month and I have no idea if it’s been received at all. Whenever I call the hotline I get put on a loop on the automated service and can never speak to an actual agent. Unbelievably inept system.

  42. I signed up in June for a waiting week. I was approved for a certain amt. I got all the paper work in the mail. I checked the on call box to work .Then I was on call for work.I worked for four weeks and went on line and filled in each week worked. Then I was out if work for three weeks. I went on line and filled in each week I did not work.when I went back to work I filled in that I was called Bach full time. Yet I received no pay for the three weeks I was out.
    I can’t seem to by through to ask that question. How do I get it answered. I really could use the pay.

  43. I was separated from employment on june 17th. attempted to apply June 19th and pressed submit. When I called to check on benefits, I was told no application for bens received – do it again. So, I did, however, I was informed that my benefit start point would be weeks later than my separation date. Additionally, each time I call, even on days appropriate for last number of my social, I’m actually told that my call can’t be taken that day. Call back. When I looked at bens today and tried to access, I was told there was a “waiting” week which would not be paid. What? Not only are my June weeks not being accounted for, I’m also not able to speak with anyone or email someone for help. Please respond. Thank you.

    • The initial claim would always be considered as the “Waiting Week” as per the process after which you will have no issue claiming week on week.

  44. I called and opened a claim over the phone. I was told to get online and log into my account and go to my messages and complete the process. The website doesn’t recognize me at all, it says my password is incorrect, and when I fill out the information to change my password it says that information is not valid and I’m not in the system.
    I call and call and call and call and call and I’m constantly told there’s a large number of calls and I’m automatically hung up on. I even filled out an e-mail trouble form and still after over a week no response. Is there any way to talk to a real person to get this taken care of. I’ve called over a hundred times during the days defined by my SS#……..

  45. I was laid off a month ago. I have been approved for benefits and provided all documentation requested but have received no checks. I have been trying for THREE WEEKS to talk to someone on the phone numbers that UI gives you and cannot get through at any time of day or any day of the week. Even at 8:30 in the morning when the line opens it says…”Sorry we are receiving a high volume of calls….try back another time” and hangs up on you. I really need some help here. I don’t know what else to do!

      • As usual… help. This is the website I use and I can’t solve my problem over it because I need to talk to an actual human being! This system and this state is useless! thanks for nothing!

        • I’m having the same exact issue as all the folks here. There is no way to to talk to a person it seems… even on the says listed by last digit of social. The replies on this site are canned and only more frustrating.

  46. I reapplied for unemployment, the first time I received the Status of Rejected from my bank account. I then reapplied and got the same results.
    I called my bank and they verified that my Routing and Account Numbers are correct.
    They asked for an error code that the DUA system would have received to help their customer service understand why the DUA’s transaction was rejected.

    Also, I originally applied at the beginning of April 2016, but now the DUA database says that I established my Benefit Claim Effective Date: 6/14/2015 when I was laid off from Gloucester Engineering – since then I have been a Contract Consultant. Now I am unemployed.
