    • Hi, Jamie – it’s doubtful that you can collect unemployment benefits while on medical leave. In this kind of situation, you’re better off talking with your company’s HR department about your rights under the Family Medical Leave Act and your options for short-term disability coverage. Of course, if your medical leave was necessitated by a workplace injury, you also may be able to receive workers’ compensation benefits.

    • If you’ve exhausted the benefits, you will not be able to apply again.

Please call the Unemployment Office to ascertain if there are benefit weeks left in your account.
