I can understand your situation. There will be a delay considering the number of applications that are being processed. Please continue chasing the office/check your status online at regular intervals.

  3. I cannot reach anyone right now due to covid19. I realize everyone is filing at the same time but…maybe more phone lines and staff?

    • Amy,

We understand this might be a difficult time for you. We’re anticipating a shortage of staff across unemployment offices due to the massive surge in UI applications considering the pandemic. We advise against calling or visiting the office, as you may not get a response instantly.

Your state may have activated “Extended Benefits (EB)” authorized by the federal government. We recommend you apply for UI benefits online. For more information, please visit your state’s official Unemployment website.

      • I have been filing for unemployment for 13 weeks now and it still says issue under review. They paid 0 for 6 weeks for regular unemployment and then the calum that is active and is pandemic unemployment paid 1 week out if no where then the very next week it went back to saying regular unemployment and paid nothin. It’s mid January and I first filed Oct. 1st. When I call they keep having me send them the same documents.. what can I do? I am close to being homeless.

  4. For some reason I can not get my unemployment benefits! I had to file for unemployment back in February 2018, I started receiving benefits than it stopped talking about I was probably underpaid when infact I was not being paid right at all! I had $3,400 something before it stopped after it stopped I still had $2,700 something that was not paid! Plus this is a whole new year. Keep in mind I am a single mother of 2 kids. I have had 2 jobs WHILE I was TRYING to draw my unemployment. My managers at Walmart doesn’t know why I’m not getting my money because I was offered my job back! I REALLY need my money. I have been waiting to get another job because I have NO FUNDS to pay for gas milage! I don’t think it is fair. WHATEVER I NEED TO DO I AM WILLING TO DO!!!!!

  5. I can not reach anyone in any un-employment office. I have 9 weeks of certified claims in system that have not been paid.
