New Hampshire Unemployment Extension

EUC is a Federal temporary extension of unemployment compensation for unemployed individuals who have already collected all regular state benefits for which they were eligible.

These benefits are available for weeks of unemployment ending on or before January 1, 2014. This means that the last payable week of EUC benefits in most states will be the week ending December 28, 2013.

There is no “phase- out” period for EUC payments. All EUC payments will cease when the program ends.

Total available weeks currently available in New Hampshire is 40 weeks (Regular 26 weeks+ EUC 14 weeks)

Note: Currently New Hampshire does not offer extended benefits (EB).

Note:

Under federal law, as of 2019, EUC benefits are no longer available.

Extensions for collecting UI payments are in effect only during periods of high unemployment and only if the state or federal government take specific action to provide extended benefits.

  1. I have six weeks remaining on my EUC claim. What are my options at the end of my 40 weeks? I am currently residing in Oregon where my skill sets are not readily applied. Do I have recourse to additional UC benefits under the Trade Act which applies to my loss of employment?

    Thank you
