Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC)
EUC is a 100% federally funded program that provides benefits to individuals who have exhausted regular state benefits. The EUC program was created on June 30, 2008, and has been modified several times. The latest was on January 2, 2013. The eligibility for EUC is determined by federal and state laws. This compensation differs from state to state depending on the unemployment rate.
The maximum number of weeks an individual can receive Emergency Unemployment Compensation benefits in New Mexico depends upon the time each benefit program ends. The following chart shows EUC benefits available in New Mexico –
