North Dakota Unemployment Weekly Claims

Call the Unemployment Insurance Claims Center at 701-328-4995 (TTY: 800-366-6888) to complete your weekly certification or speak with a claims center representative.

You can also file weekly claims online through UI ICE which is Job Service North Dakota’s Unemployment Insurance Internet Claims Entry system. This secure, convenient tool allows you to certify weekly eligibility.

Remember: While using UI ICE, be sure to press Save/Continue every 30 minutes prior to logging off, as this will save your data. If you close your browser or experience computer or Internet access problems that cause you to be disconnected from UI ICE, any data that has not been saved will be lost. When you log in, a claim or certification number will be displayed in the upper left hand corner of the page. Write this number down. If you have problems with your internet claim/certification, you can call the Unemployment Insurance Claims Center at 701-328-4995 for assistance and provide that number.

Note: The UI ICE internet application and the automated phone system are unavailable daily from 10:00 pm to midnight Central Time due to maintenance. Claims Center staff are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time.

  1. The Dr filled out a form saying I couldn’t work for now. That was back in April. I have received my weekly checks and now all the sudden they put my unemployment on hold saying they need to verify everything. They had it for 2 weeks and I did get a check last week answering the questions the same way. I call and get nowhere with anyone.

    • Daisha,

There will an intermittent delay owing to the number of applications. Please be patient and make sure to check the status regularly.

  2. I was laid off from my full time job that i held for 3 years. I’m now receiving unemployment. I also have had a small part time job for 2 years ( 6-10 hrs per week), and I need to take time off from that job for personal/legal reasons. Will this affect my unemployment, even though I am activly seeking employment?

    • Russ,

That is correct. It will affect your existing claim. Please call the Unemployment Office for further details.

    • Alberto,

Please note this is a private forum and we do not have access to your claim file. Please call the Claims Center for an update on payment status.
