Oklahoma Unemployment Contact Information
Oklahoma Unemployment Phone Numbers
As you apply for Oklahoma unemployment insurance benefits, you may run into situations that require assistance. At any point in the process, you can reach out to an Oklahoma unemployment office and talk with a customer service representative about your claim. You can call locally or toll-free if you’re not currently living in Oklahoma. The state also provides services you can access through a text telephone system for those who are hearing impaired.
You also can complete several different tasks associated with your unemployment insurance claim over the phone. For example, you can file your initial claim by phone, and you can also use the state’s telephone system to file a weekly claim.
You can also check on missing payments or find out the status of your direct deposit if that’s how you’ve chosen to receive your UI benefits. And if you have any questions related to your form 1099 G and subsequent filing of your taxes, or if you need to report suspected unemployment fraud, you can do all of this by calling the appropriate Oklahoma unemployment line shown below.
If you don’t have Internet service to access the Oklahoma Internet claim system and visiting a physical Oklahoma employment office isn’t available to you, handling these types of tasks over the phone can be a tremendous benefit.

Information to have when calling the Oklahoma Unemployment Office
Before you make your call to the Oklahoma unemployment office, it’s important to make sure you have all the needed information close at hand. There’s a good possibility that the customer service representative you speak with will have questions about your initial claim, your benefits, and/or your account.
Gathering all of your documentation ahead of time can help speed up the process and make sure you have everything you need to allow your representative to help you.
Here are a few items you’ll likely need:
- Relevant personal information – This includes your Social Security number, driver’s license or other state ID number, complete contact information, including address and telephone number. If you’re a non-citizen, you will need your Alien Registration number.
- Former employer information – It’s likely that the customer service representative you speak with will have questions about your previous employer. It’s a good idea to be prepared with the name and complete address of your former employer, along with your former immediate supervisor’s name and the reason for your separation from employment.
- Employment history – You’ll need the name and complete contact information for every employer you worked for over the previous 18 months. In addition, make sure you know your start date and your end date of employment for each job. You’ll also need to report the wages you earned from each of these employers.
- Work search documentation – To submit your weekly claims for benefits, you’ll need all information regarding how you’ve been compliant with Oklahoma unemployment work search requirements for the period you’re certifying.
- Additional information – If you are a former member of the U.S. military, make sure you have your form DD214 if you served in the military over the last 18 months. If you were a federal government employee over the last 18 months, you also will need your Form SF 8 or SF 50.
Please know that an important part of the Oklahoma unemployment insurance claim process is the verification of your identity, which all claimants will need to do as a protection against unemployment fraud and identity theft. For this process, make sure you have a driver’s license or other state-issued I.D. or a resident/green card if you are not a U.S. citizen. You’ll need to complete this part of the process either online or in person. Once you connect by phone with a customer service representative, they can advise on your best option for completing this portion of the process.
Oklahoma Unemployment Office Locations
As you navigate the Oklahoma unemployment process, there may be times when you benefit from visiting an office location to access more individual unemployment support. Visiting an unemployment office in person expands the services you’re able to access. All Oklahoma unemployment offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exclusion of state holidays.
Visiting an Oklahoma unemployment office location allows you to access several resources that aren’t necessarily available over the phone. For example, you can have direct access to a career services representative who can help you with personalized career guidance, planning and counseling.
You can access job resources like a common job board, job fairs, and recruitment assistance. The Oklahoma unemployment offices can also provide labor market information and referrals to community partners and other community resources. You can access job readiness coaching and preparation, plus training and apprenticeship opportunities.
While engaging with the Oklahoma unemployment office may be convenient and appropriate for some tasks you need to complete related to your unemployment insurance claim, visiting an unemployment office in person adds depth and variety to the type of services and support you can access. An in-person presence allows you to build relationships with the staff who are there to support you.

The best thing about the unemployment office an employees, is how vague and entirely unhelpful they can be. You better know, via blogs or support boards, what you need to prove you are you. It’s almost as if they don’t give straight answers in hopes of you getting frustrated and moving on instead of getting unemployment. I had a hold on my unemployment, it said only “there’s an issue with your account, you won’t be paid till resolved”. A ten day delay in person at the office and answers by phone well you better have 2 to 3 hours to sit on hold. No one had a straight answer for me. I one upped them I had an inside source. No pay for 2 months, my source fixed and got me paid in 24 hours! I hate to be so negative, but they work against you not to help you, in my experience! But not really a surprise to anyone that has had to deal with a government office for help. Normal people got to experience this for the first time with Covid causing so much unemployment. By normal I mean those that rarely or never have to deal with any government offices. Pray you never have to need them!
I am yet to receive my card after i requested for another card i haven’t get my card
My unemployment ended when the Federal cut last check on the 26th. President Trump extended unemployment @ $ 300.00 weekly. What do I need to do , if anything at all to continue receiving my unemployment benefit?
Respectfully
Ricky Ray
Ricky,
Please see if EB are available for you.
Is the unemployment office allowing walk I s at this time?
Eric,
I suggest you check/get info online by visiting the Unemployment Office’s website.
My claim has been in limbo since april. I have been told several times that I would have a level two contact me. I have been told numerous times that my claim was sorted and the deposit should be made monday(weeks ago). My claim is still “pending further review.” I have emailed everybody from the oeschelps, to HR, to one of the execs, to the governor. I have not received a call back from a mentor or anybody with the power to do anything, tell me anything, or push anything past “pending.” Work has slowed down significantly, i might get 20 hours a week in…every week or two, hardly enough to pay the bills. Getting material in has been a pain in the a$$. No material no work….now everyone is trying to hold back on the spending so alot of the work i had coming up is ….on hold. I can’t get this resolved, no matter how many times i’m told that it’s fixed. any suggestions?
Listen im in the same boat this is ridicoulous .. i have been waiting sine june to be honest . Its beyond Nerve racking .. the only thing i can say is go in to a office .. but then even the office ..is closed.
Dustin,
I can understand your situation. There will be a delay considering the number of applications that are being processed. Please continue chasing the office/check your status online at regular intervals until payments normalize.
Not wishing to seem as whiner myself but i had to seek extension on my existing claim which was approved this past 17 day of February and told i could now go to weekly file and start with back filing from the 14th. To this current time i already have 4 i believe its icn numbers, something like that and am still not given the option of filing my weeks as a choice. Just file for unemployment period or extension claim. Thats all been done weeks ago. Again.. Yesterday, no given option to file week. In 45 minutes ill be on the phone again seeking why and again ill be told theres no problem they see, file week. Im not getting that option. Who or where else can i turn to get issue resolved?? Agreements were reached on back building situations going off what i was told. and still seems All associates say the same thing. Claim is accepted, i should have already received funding, all fine on Commission end.
Im to ignoring stage with landlord which has already threatened eviction due missed rent and three promises of catching up or getting paid on but.. Fourt week seeking someone, something discovered and solve my not getting weekly file option and im already feeling eviction is in works… Im following all directions and suggestions but nothing has changed or been fixed. My original claim issues were solved by an unemployment assistant filing my beginning weeks for me. Through commission computer and no problems with anything till filing extension. Which also was filed by unemployment worker and approved so what is hindering my file week option???
I filed for unemployment back in March thinking that we were shut down. We went back to work and then I refiled in July because I was terminated. I went to the workforce oklahoma and reset my pin and when I went to file my initial week…I hit submit and then a Server error came up. Then on the main OESC website that you connect your SSN to…it says one of my answers may make me ineligible. All I was doing was answering the questions for my initial week in which I had worked. I have called the 1800-555-1554 several times and never can get through. How can I fix this? Is there another number to call?
I been waiting on my oklahoma unemployment for ten weeks or maybe more they keep saying adjudicator I don’t think they any working if they is they ain’t doing they job looks like everybody need it oklahoma unemployment is shit they don’t care about the people they care about they selfs
Tammy,

My claim says I will not be paid due to an unresolved issue with my recent employer. But my claim is effective until 10/04/2020. And I have a balance of 4000 left to claim. I’m not understanding.
You need to apply for PUC the pandemic unemployment claim
Shameka,
They will only process after the issue is resolved. Please follow up at regular intervals.
I have received two payments for my unemployment, but have not received a card. When I call the number provided by the unemployment line to ask about my card, I am not able to speak to a representative as they are wanting my card number, or my Social, Birthday and Pin – since I don’t have a card – I obviously do not have a card number or pin. What number can I call that will me get in touch with a representative to find out the status of my card being mailed or to request a new one, since 866-320-8699 is only if you have a card.
Please I was told it takes 2 weeks for back pay it has been 2 weeks no pay what can I do
Tiffany,
The Unemployment Office might be inundated with pending requests. Please visit the website to find the answers.
Jodi,
You have to call them again and insist on a resolution with your SSN or other credentials. That’s the only way to resolve it.
I am having the exact same issue and I am unable to get through at all. They end up hanging up on me every single time!
I believe that someone else has filed for unemployment benefits using my social security number
I called the number on card,I have my money on account to pay my bills but no card,so I call they have me on hold 45 min.then someone picks up you can hear them typing but no answer then they hung up on me.soon as I can get threw I want to talk to a manager that is bull crap idk
Brianna,

They kept sending me letters saying that I was working longer than claimed which I didn’t and I haven’t been able to reach anyone for months. I just got furloughed from my new job so I need unemployment but I’ve been on permanent deny until this issue is cleared up
Olivia,
Please try finding answers online since there might be limited phone support.
Are we able to apply for unemployment at an unemployment office? The website doesn’t seem to be working for me.
John I was working and I got sick I got heart failure my employer fired me cause I was sick in 1991 unemployment over paid me a week I sent in for my unemployment but I cant get it until I pay 400 dollars I cant work and I filed for disability I’ve been off work for 2 yrs can yall not take that 400 off what I got coming
Steve,
UI benefits are only provided to claimants who lose employment due to no fault of their own (they should also be available for work).
John,
I don’t think so. Please stay at home and apply online. I hope you’re using the right website – https://unemployment.state.ok.us/
I am not able to reach anyone due to busy signals on the Oklahoma unemployment line. I’ve been paid but I have not received my card yet, how do I find out what is going on?
Rachell,
We understand this might be a difficult time for you. We’re anticipating a shortage of staff across unemployment offices due to the massive surge in UI applications considering the pandemic. We advise against calling or visiting the office, as you may not get a response instantly.
Your state may have activated “Extended Benefits (EB)” authorized by the federal government. We recommend you apply for UI benefits online. For more information, please visit your state’s official Unemployment website.
I can’t get on the phone with anyone. All lines are busy this morning.
Matthew,
The office may be severely short-staffed. Please try finding an answer online, on the department’s website.
Sam,
The OESC is not a functional system!!!!
There is no way to access help. I got through to a new hire, 2 weeks on the job at OESC, with absolutely no ability to help me or direct me to a supervisor. I’m now in a Suspended Account Reactivation Request, waiting on an Investigator Benifit Payment Control unit to email me. This is ridicules!!!!
Just got furloughed because of coronavirus. Trying to setup claim. When I get to end keep getting error. Help

My husband lives in Arkansas but worked in Oklahoma. He filed for Oklahoma unemployment, every time he tries to call the interstate number to try and get information about his case no one answers. If we drive to the nearest Oklahoma unemployment office will they help us? We are located in Arkansas.
Jonnie,
I suggest you try and explore the official website for answers. You might also be able to find additional phone numbers.
Have tried to call in for the last 3 days on computer, Monday as being Veterans Day, so that puts me behind 3 days and still cannot get past a certain point to file my weekly claim–I do not want to have my benefits interrupted but cannot get on via the computer
Hello, I am having the same problem. Did you ever receive a reply? I am holding on the line for 3-4 hours each time. Thank you
Jennifer,
In this case, please consider the option of visiting an office in the vicinity.
That is not possible foe because I moved out of state. Does anyone have other numbers to reach a person?
Dora,
Please visit the Unemployment Office’s website for contact details.

Ronald,
I suggest you call the Unemployment Office in your state to clarify their stance on your situation and apply accordingly.
How long does the process usually take, how long does it take or you allow for employers to respond?
Jim,
As much as I am aware, the entire process should not take more than 10-15 working days. Please call the Unemployment Office for precise information.
My friend recently got fired from work. Is he eligible to apply for unemployment benefits?
I doubt it. Especially if he got fired with cause
Hello,
If your friend was fired due to involuntary reasons, he/she can be eligible to claim UI benefits.
How do I get my w2 for 2017 when I was on unemployment
Jennifer,
Please use the “Claimant Access” option on the home page of this website – https://unemployment.state.ok.us/ to get the required documents.
If the employer cuts back on labor and the employee is laid off after almost a year of employment, the employer offers a severance pay of 640.00 can the employee still get unemployment if they also get the severance pay?
Kaye,
Please wait until the severance payout ends. You can apply towards the end of it.
Is there anyone I can speak to in person about why my claims are getting denied? I got one week of pay and then denied the next week. Nothing is different and the claim is the same. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for almost a week seeing how there’s no option for this problem on the automated system when I call the 1800 number.
Kaitlyn,
I suggest you visit the Unemployment Office’s official website to check the claim status online and to find additional phone numbers for contact. Here is the website – https://unemployment.state.ok.us/
I tried to apply and got turned down well a few months ago i tried to get unemployment and it said i had a unclaimed amount so how do i get that money…And still confused when ive been turned down every time ive applied

I was recently laid off from my job of four years as a roofer my employers knowingly had me classified as an independent contractor even though I work only for them was trained by them was paid hourly each week, drove a company truck and they had full control of where I worked and on what when I was laid off I was also given a letter of recommendation clearly saying I was an employee for four years and preformed above and beyond I filed on the web site but there was nowhere to explain my situation and now I cannot access the web site at all I just get an error message what should I do I no longer have a vehicle to go to an office and the telephone number is all automated
Michael,
Why don’t you go ahead and file if you think you’re eligible? You don’t have to necessarily explain your situation unless the authorities asked you to.
Since the unemployment direct deposit department will not answer their phone (have tried between 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, no state or federal holidays), I sent my form via USPS mail to the address on the form. Imagine my surprise when my unemployment was deposited to the card I DO NOT WANT. ***HOW*** can I get my direct deposit set up, seeing as **I** did everything I was supposed to in order to set it up?
Alison,
Please call the Claims Center by phone to check if they received your documents. For hassle-free management of claims, we suggest you apply over the internet.
What else would OESC do with the LOST WAGES THEY are about to give out Dec 17? They make it sound like a gift. It sounds more like a with held payment from September. I guess a gift is for looks. They could have let it go unspent. Did they intentionally not give it in Sept? Granted I am grateful and need it.
My friend worked in Tulsa OK, but lives in Pittsburg KS, in which state would he file for his unemployment?
Regina,
Please ask your friend to file from the state where he/she was employed last.
How about checking on the back pay that is owed to you and to check on a fraud claim what do you do then ?
Kimberly,
You can continue chasing the office regularly until you have a concrete update.
I have called for hours.. There is no option to speak to a human being if you wait on the line its says thank you for your call goodbye.. I need to speak to a REAL PERSON how can this happen???
Dustin,
Firstly, make sure you’re calling during the stipulated hours. Secondly, you can also find answers to your questions on the official website.
I have been trying for over a week to get in touch with ANYONE about my unemployment claim that has been denied. There is no way that I see on line to file an appeal and I would REALLY like to speak with someone, anyone, concerning this matter. If someone could please call me, I have spent countless on hold and being disconnected and calling back, over and over, my number is 318-359-5183. I would appreciate any help that I could possibly get in resolving this matter
Glen,
I can understand your situation. Please consider the option of visiting an office in the vicinity. You can also explore the website for additional contact numbers.

What day of the week do we receive benefits on? Is it not the same day every week?
Pamela,

I have been with the same company for 8yrs, they got bought out in April 2017, now in July 2017 they want to cut my pay in half, can I resign my position and be eligible for unemployment? Is this even legal?
Laura,
