About the site

UnemployedWorkers.org is a project of the National Employment Law Project (NELP) which partners with national, state and local allies to promote policies and programs that create good jobs and help unemployed workers regain their economic footing through improved benefits and services. Unemployed workers can use this as a platform to voice out their opinions and experiences.

What is the purpose of this site?

This site collects stories from the unemployed, facts about the economy and persons them to opinion makers inside and outside of Washington.
