Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is applicable to the unemployed worker or wage less self employed who was employed or was to start up employment in the area where generally disaster is sure to take place.

There are various eligibilities taken into consideration to qualify for the disaster rights

  • No longer have a job.
  • Are unable to reach to the place of employment.
  • Were to have started work.
  • Became breadwinner or major support because the head of household died.
  • Cannot work because of injury caused by the major disaster.

If in case you are not a civilian of United States then you cannot claim for the DUA benefits.
