I am planning on taking a one week vacation in the state that I live (Wisconsin) and am wondering how to handle filing a weekly claim for this week. Do I just not file for this week or do I file by indicating that I did not apply for any jobs and was unavailable? Also, if I did apply for a position while away, would that affect my claim because I would not be available for work and/or an interview during that week? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy your now and be great!

If you are taking a vacation, you could just not file a claim.  This is not the unemployment office, so you are not getting official advice.  With the internet, you are able to apply from anywhere.  Will you be able to respond timely to any interview requests?  Check messages etc?
