My unemployment insurance is ending at 24 weeks how do I file for federal extension, and is there a waiting period before I can file? I had a part time job for 8 years and was receiving benefits of $84 a week how much will I get from the fed extension?

There is no waiting week for EUC.  You should receive the same amount.  If there is a reason why federal extension benefits are reduced, there should be a notice on the website for California unemployment.  Exhausting the balance of your current claim triggers the release of the application for the extension.  Watch your mail.  You can call the office and do it over the phone once your current balance is at zero.  Do not wait long.  If do not get it in the mail within a week of your claim, call.
