I believe that 26 weeks for any 52 week period is correct. However, how many extensions and for how long at the present time (Sept. 2013) can a person continue to receive benefits.
Is it 99 weeks??

You may be aware of the various tiers for calculating the total number of weeks for drawing unemployment compensation.

Going by Florida's current unemployment rate of 7.1(Aug 2013),you are eligible to receive a maximum of 56 weeks of benefits which includes 19 weeks of UI provided by the state.

You may contact The Florida Department of Labor on 1-800-204-2418. The phones at the Florida unemployment office answer from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m, Monday through Friday.
