I was furloughed so I filed for unemployment, but now the furlough is over and I don't wish to collect ANY monies for unemployment.  How do I cancel my request ensuring that no checks are mailed to me?

If you have only filed for unemployment but have not claimed benefits, you do not have to do anything.  Claiming benefits is the weekly or biweekly reporting to unemployment that you have or have not worked etc.  If you have done that, call the office or write to find out how to send the money back or possible stop any issue of payments pending.  Always include your name social security number and phone number on each page when writing.
