I worked as a freelancer at a company for 4 years.  I didn't work for any other company during that time.  If the work dries up can I get unemployment?6

In most cases, self employed workers and/or freelance workers who lose their income are not eligible for unemployment benefits.

To clear the air, you can contact your state unemployment office to determine eligibility.
