I'm still in the sixth month if my 6-months probation period. I heard from my supervisor that the office manager will extend my probation period.  I have a bad feeling.  Can I receive unemployment benefit if I get laid off with the probation period?  Thanks!

Ask your supervisor for additional training/feedback during the extended probation period in order to deliver what is expected of you.

Unemployment insurance benefits are available for workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own. There are eligibility requirements to qualify for unemployment benefits including working a certain number of weeks for a certain number of hours each week.

I recommend that you contact your state's employment security department for specifics on eligibility.

Wish you good luck !
