I am confused by the eligibility requirements for federal extention, specifically the 40 times your weekly benefit.  what is that 40 times measured against?  my yearly salary before unemployment?  if it is the highest quarter, then it seems the extensions are only for people who had high wages, not little people like me.

IT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR WEEKLY BENEFIT AMOUNT, ID YOU GET 200.00 PER WEEK, YOUR BASE PERIOD WAGES (AWARD LETTER) NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 8,000.00 FOR YOU TO QUALIFY FOR EXTENSION (THRE IS ANOTHER WAY ITS FIGURED BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND IT. REMEMBER EXTENSIONS CAN ONLY BE PAID THRU WEEK ENDING 122813 BECAUSE CONGRESS DIDNT EXTEND THE EXTENSIONS - IF THEY DO, THE DEPT WILL CONTACT CLAIMANTS AND REOPEN AND SEND CLAIM FORMS AUTOMATICALLY.
