I am a retired state employee and am collecting  State of Hawaii retirement benefits. I have also worked during my retirement but have now been laid off. I would like to collect unemployment insurance but am not sure how my retirement would affect it. I am collecting about 5,000 a month and my projected unemployment insurance benefit would be about 500 a week. Thanks!

Collecting retirement will have a say when you file papers for UI and this clause varies state to state.

Please contact the Hawaii UI division for further information on how it will affect you.The contact numbers are provided in the page below.
