I have currently been laid off from my job for five weeks due to weather; I have been told that  after the sixth week of receiving unemployment benefits that I should receive my waiting week benefits. Is this true?

Waiting week benefits is usually disbursed in the beginning phase of your claim.

Not sure on who gave you that information. Please speak to the labor department in your state to get specific information.
