I have a question. I have been on unemployment since December of 2012. I started school in July of 2013 which ends in July of 2014. I filled out the paper work for section 30 and was approved in August of 2013 for beginning date 07/2013 with an end date of 07/2014. Regular UI benefit for the year ended November of 2013. I was told to  file a new claim, which I did. I have been working parttime (on call basis) but not going over the allowed money to make to lower my unemployment benefits, so why am I now being penalized when opening the new claim they are only taking my parttime earnings to give me unemployment which makes it go down to $143.00 a week! I never went over my allowed earnings on my part time job and I have section 30 which is suppose to kick in!! My question is since I had exhausted my regular benefits and extension, should'nt section 30 kick in? Why would I be getting paid under the new claim at the partime earning? I just don’t understand this. Help please

Please re visit your paper work and see if there is something that you've indicated which lead to partial benefits being disbursed.

Since this is a claim specific question,I strongly recommend that you speak to a claims representative from the labor department to get accurate solution.
