I have not worked a full time job since 2002.  I have worked odd jobs doing different things to survive.  I have never applied for unemployment because I didn't think I was eligible.  I have been steadily looking for employment but to no avail.  I did work a seasonal job in December of 2013 but it ended in January 2014.  I served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, am I eligible for unemployment?

Seasonal workers are generally not eligible to receive UI.

There is an exclusive program known as the Unemployment Compensation for Ex-service members (UCX) for citizens who have served the army or other forces.

Please get in touch with the customer service center of the labor department in NJ for more details on this scheme.
