I have been off work since March 3, 2014 for kidney surgery.  I have only been receiving 60% of my pay from my employer and it is getting hard to pay my bills on the lower income.
I was given a "return to work" form from my doctor to return on April 21, 2014, but couldn't pass the strength test required only in my left(less dominant) arm.  I only missed by .3%.  All other extremeties were fine.
I now have to be out at least another 2 weeks before I can retake the strength test. Work is giving me another month if necessary to pass the test, but I cannot work until I do.
Can I get unemployment for the time I have been off until I can get back to work to supplement what I am not getting?

Not sure if you qualify as UI is provided to those who are able to work.

Health conditions are not an exception.
