Can I wait 3 months after being laid off to file for unemployment?

My last day of work is June 27th. My highest quarter is April, May, June.
So if I open a claim in the 1st week of July. Will they consider these 3 months? If not can I wait to open the claim in October so I can get a higher benefit claim?

The sooner you file,its better.
