Be prepared for long wait times because lots of people are trying to do the same thing that you are. Be patient and you will get through to someone that can help you. Even if it is frustrating to wait so long, please be polite to the person you get connected to.

The staffers on the other line are over-worked and are doing everything they can to help all of the people that are contacting them.

When you call the VA unemployment phone number, make sure that you have the following information:

    • The E.U.C(Emergency Unemployment Compensation) remains expired. There is no extension available. Please inquire further with the labor authorities in your state by calling them.

  2. Please someone help. I been calling for the past 3 weeks or so. According to the answering machine it states that I received a check for $366, processed 12-17-15. As of today 1/20/16 I’ve yet to receive this check. Now I am about to do my takes and of course there’s a 1099 for the check I never received. It’s unfair for me to claim that money if k never got it. Who can I call , the number provided is always busy. Please help. Please. Thank you

      I hope you’ve received the check by now. It takes a couple of days.

      If you still haven’t received it, please call the claims center.

    • Depends on circumstances you quit under. I am guessing you should be eligible after the severance pay period ends.

      Please check with the authorities by calling them.

  3. I was laid off for a week without pay and I was full time now my hours has dropped to part time am is it possible I can receive unemployment benefits for this?

  4. It has been over two weeks since my interview with the deputy for judgment and I have not yet received any notification of judgment. What does this mean?

  5. I have tried to contact VEC since last week to provide information regarding a claim for 5/11/2013. I have been able to speak with anyone and I was told on my voicemail that today is the last day I have to provide this. Please contact me as soon as possible.

  6. I had a phone interview with my previous employer and the deputy on Tuesday April 23rd. After the interview I was not really told much. I was trying to find out if I am going to be able to get my unemployment and if so, when will they start coming?
