West Virginia Unemployment Extension

Updated : February 14th, 2019

Federally funded Extended Unemployment Compensation is unavailable across all states of U.S as of now. However, the state of West Virginia allows 13-50 weeks of extended benefits. Additional paperwork may not be necessary as your eligibility will be automatically determined.

In the meanwhile, the department encourages claimants to make use of the agency’s free job services to find new job opportunities.

Extended Benefits (EB) – Program Ended

Under federal law, as of 2019, EUC benefits are no longer available.

Extensions for collecting UI payments are in effect only during periods of high unemployment and only if the state or federal government take specific action to provide extended benefits.
